Mark Patterson

Interim Pastor

Most recently, before moving to Kittery, Mark and Laureen served at an English speaking international church in Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to that they served at churches in Niagara Falls, NY as well as in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. They are presently serving with IPM (Interim Pastor Ministries), whereby they serve at churches on an interim basis while the church seeks to find its next permanent pastor.

Mark was born in Nova Scotia, Canada but grew up most of his life near Toronto, Ontario. He also lived in the northwest of England in his mid-teens. He was working in the telecommunications field before entering full-time ministry. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, watching documentaries and sports, and reading true-crime novels.

Laureen was born and raised in Toronto. She was working in the dental field prior to joining Mark in full-time ministry. She enjoys cooking/baking, reading historical fiction books and watching Hallmark movies.

Mark and Laureen enjoy traveling together and hope to be able to visit all the states in the US and the provinces in Canada. They have just 8 more states before they are able to check this off their “bucket list”.

Mark and Laureen have two married children and two grandchildren.

They met in NH at a Bible Study in Febuary 2007 resulting in marriage on July 5, 2008.  They’ve enjoyed serving the Gospel cause in their local church and on the mission field in Guatemala, but have been drawn to make their impact for Christ in the mission field of South Coastal Maine and New Hampshire.
